Was this on a manual or automatic? Mind posting up the collapsed and extended lengths from the center of the U-joint?

It was installed on standard. Told it will work with either given the connection to the TC is the same. To ensure proper application for your rig, I would recommend and encourage you to contact the manufacture. Don't want to give you bad info. What I can tell you is that worked with our 6 inch with D30LP, however, we felt a vibration at higher speeds. Took to Drive line specialist in Lorton. They told it was short for our application. So i had they build one specifically for our rig. Hope this info helps. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for interest! John

You are correct in the fact that the same transfer case allows it to be mated however there is a difference in lengths between auto and manual driveshafts because of the different transmissions. I think 97-99 standard/manual could have had either the AX-15 or AX-5 while the auto was a 32RH for those years. The CL link is dead so if you could measure from center yoke to center yoke or just post the make/model/year it came off of then I can probably google the stock length.

My bad. You're correct. AX-15 Trans w/ NV-231 TC. Appreciate the heads on CL link.... https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/pts/d/fort-wayne-jeep-wrangler/6425578190.html

In the interim, here's the manufactures link... http://fortwayneclutch.com/product/19972002-jeep-wrangler-front-double-cardan-cv-style-propeller-driveshaft-assembly-skus-922204-2524-52098377ad-p52098377ad-919374-2521/

Was installed in a 99 TJ. D30 LP. Hope this helps.
